Ability Camp
Lillian who is severely handicap (see how it all began) with the help of family, friends, and even a few strangers was able to attend a special camp in Ontario Canada for the first time in the summer of 2006. This camp is called Ability Camp. It is a camp for children with Cerebral Palsy. They use a type of therapy called Conductive Education and they also offer Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy Treatment (see C.E. & HBOT). It is suggested that you do the two together. That is just what we did for the summer of 2006. The results were extremely good for her. Lily was able to attend Ability Camp again the summer of 2007 & 2008 thanks to everyone to attended the fundraiser's we held in June 2007 & 2008 and also to those who sent in their support. Lily does only the Conducative Education part of camp not Hyperbarics now because of the VNS device in placed in her chest which helps reduce seizures (see New Treatments and old). The VNS has not been tested in the Hyperbaric Chamber and the pressure change in the chamber could possibly break the device.
I would like to be able to send Lily twice a year, once in the summer and once in the late winter/early spring.
Donations on behalf of Lily of ANY amount are greatly appreciated
